Meet the owners behind Epic Vacation Stays

We own two vacation homes, have furnished and looked after both of them ourselves, and answer the guest messages. Between the two homes, guests have left 400 Airbnb reviews.

The condo at Northstar came first. We wanted somewhere our own family could ski from the door, and once we started letting it out we found we enjoyed the hosting part more than we expected. The house at Caldera Springs came later and is a different sort of place altogether: bigger, quieter, and built for a whole family to be together without being on top of one another.

How we run them

We answer our own messages. If something goes wrong during your stay, you tell us directly and one of us responds.

We also try to tell you the awkward things before you book rather than after. The Recreation Center at Northstar charges per person per day and is not included with the condo. Laundry there is shared with the building rather than in the unit. Caldera Springs and Sunriver Resort are two different communities and our house only comes with the first. We put those details on the site because they are easier to plan around before a trip.

What we tell you before booking

We always set our direct-booking rates lower than our rates on Airbnb and Vrbo. Early check-in depends on the cleaning schedule, and the Northstar ski access depends on the Coyote Fork run being open.
